Stephen Duffy » Biography


Stephen Duffy joined Trinity Hall as an accomplished educator and school administrator, most recently as Head of School at Falmouth Academy in Massachusetts. He has worked as an Upper School Principal (Rutgers Preparatory School, New Jersey) and as Director of Academic Studies and College Guidance (Abington Friends School, Pennsylvania), and spent many years in the classroom as a middle and upper school English and history teacher. Steve earned his B.A. in English with a minor in American history from Middlebury College, an M.A. in literature from the Bread Loaf School of English at Middlebury College and an M.Ed. from Teachers College, Columbia University. In his interim role as Assistant Head of School, Steve joins the Leadership Team and lends his vast experience to support the faculty and staff in the extraordinary work they do educating Trinity Hall’s students.

A native of Boston, Steve is a loyal fan of his hometown teams, though he’s delighted to be back near NYC and its vibrant cultural offerings, particularly theater. In his spare time he enjoys reading, writing, skiing and exploring the outdoors with his wife, Karen.
