Biography

Charles Russell joined Trinity Hall after 12 years at Mater Dei Prep, which closed its doors this summer. He was the curriculum coordinator for the science department and taught chemistry honors, physics honors and environmental science, among a variety of other courses over the years. For 2022-2023, he is teaching physics and AP Environmental Science.
 
Charlie graduated from St. Peter's College with a B.S. in biology in 1975. After teaching for three years, he worked in the transportation industry as a health inspector and quality assurance specialist, while attending Seton Hall Law School at night from which he graduated, cum laude in 1986. Charlie practiced law for twenty years as a civil litigator before retiring. He then returned to his first love, teaching. Charlie has coached basketball in various capacities since 1974 and baseball, soccer and track over the years. 
 
Mr. Russell was an avid runner in his youth, and now enjoys walking on the boardwalk with his wife, Cathy. He has two children in their 20's, Will and Kira.
