Biography

Mike Kabash is delighted to have joined the Trinity Hall community in 2017.  Mike earned his Bachelor of Arts in History with a Minor in Music from Loyola University in Baltimore, Maryland where he also became a member of Phi Alpha Theta (National History Honor Society) and played lots of baseball.  He then earned his Masters in Teaching from Teachers College, Columbia University and taught for a year at the well-respected Eleanor Roosevelt High School in New York City.

Hungry to return home to the Garden State, Mike was graced with opportunities to direct music at his local alma mater, Rumson Fair-Haven Regional High School, and for eight years at St. Mary School in Middletown where he built and coordinated an integrated music and performing arts program which included choirs, bands, lessons, musical theater, and more.  He was recognized in 2016 with SMS’s first Teacher of the Year award.

Thrilled to now be a Monarch, Mike brings with him to Trinity Hall the love of being a lifelong learner, the inspiration of seeing what a community of students can accomplish individually and together, and the mission of helping all students grow and develop their full potentials.  After enjoying his first year here in the history classroom, Mike noticed that one common thread connecting his varied experiences as an educator includes a focus on finding how technology, part of today’s toolset, can be utilized in support of our learning community. Of course, after spending a while surfing around the server room, for Mike there’s nothing quite like catching a wave in the North Atlantic to end the day on the right note.
