Monarch(s) of the Meet: Alexandra Lupu '23 and Ally Perri '21
Alexandra Lupu ’23 helped the freshman Monarchs to a 3rd place finish by running a time of 15:26 for the Freshman 2 mile race. Alexandra demonstrated her leadership by remaining competitive with an 11th place finish. Ally Perri '21 led the JV team with a strong finish by recording a time of 23:07 to take 15th place. These two Monarchs helped their teams achieve strong overall performances.
 
Highlights:
The Trinity Hall XC team competed at Holmdel Park on Thursday, October 17th for the Monmouth County Championship to kick off the championship part of the cross country season. The Monmouth County Championship meet is a highly competitive race with some of the most talented teams and runners in the state of NJ. Alexandra Lupu led the freshmen to a 3rd place finish by placing 11th individually with a time of 15:26. Molly Marks and Logan Connor ran as a strong pack with times of 15:47 and 15:48, respectively. Ella Dougherty and Johanna Perez completed our freshman pack by recording times of 17:46 and 20:13. The varsity race (5k) was a highly competitive field of Monmouth County schools. Our varsity squad demonstrated their toughness by remaining competitive with a 6th place finish. Madeline Barber '22 (20:41), who recently broke the Trinity Hall XC record at Van Cortlandt Park, led our varsity pack by placing 24th. Ally Lawson ’21 (20:47) and Haven Dora '22 (20:48) kept our XC pack tight by taking 26th and 27th place. Grace Child '22 had a very strong performance with a time of 21:04. Anna Ferrigine '21, Eileen Bergin '23, and Lucy Retterer '21 completed our varsity pack by finishing with times of 23:15, 23:22, and 23:31, respectively. Our JV squad was led by Ally Perri '21 who placed 15th with a time of 23:07. Ellie Thompson '22, Caroline Page '21, Molly Clifford '20, Katherine McCarthy '21, Adriana Crepaldi '22, Elizabeth Page '22, Logan Dziadzio '20, Madison Boesch '20, Lila Greene '22, and Ciara Clifford '22 rounded out the JV team with many strong performances. The Trinity Hall XC squad completed the meet by honoring the commitment and leadership of our seniors. The Monarchs will be back in action this Thursday as they compete in the Shore Conference.
