Registration Opens for Trinity Hall’s Second Annual Virtual Race – Monarchs on the Run 2022

The development team is proud to kick off their second annual virtual race this month with the new name Monarchs on the Run. After the success of Mary on the Run! RUN in 2021, the race returns this year with new challenges and a chance to win exclusive race prizes. From April 8 through April 25, participants can run and walk in the location of their choosing and track their mileage.

Last year, the inaugural virtual race commemorated former head of school Mary Sciarrillo’s retirement with the name “Mary on the Run! RUN.” The race raised funds for Mary’s Fund for the Girls: Now and Forever, a fund for financial aid and endowment. Monarchs on the Run will continue to benefit Mary’s Fund and features a new walking challenge called “Mary’s Walking Challenge” to include even more participants at different levels of fitness.

Along with Mary’s Walking Challenge, the virtual race includes a 5k, a 10k, a combined option and a Mini Monarchs Fun Run. New this year is also the option for participants to register their pets in the walking challenge. Competitors have two weeks in April to complete their race and submit their run times and their walking mileage on the race website. All competitors who complete the race will receive a medal and have a chance to win a bigger prize for their category.

The virtual fun does not stop there! Participants are invited to join the Facebook group dedicated to the race to receive tips for beginner runners and experts alike, participate in photo contests, and receive event updates. Participants are encouraged to share pictures and engage with our race community as they complete their challenges.

Registration starts on March 7 and will be open until March 27. Head to the “Monarchs on the Run” website to register for the race and learn more about the challenges. Those who register before March 20 will receive a complimentary t-shirt. Lace up your shoes and get ready to race!
