Trinity Hall’s Queen’s Court Company Brings Home Six Basie Awards

Trinity Hall congratulates the members of the Queen’s Court Company and Crowning Crew who won Basie Awards at the 2025 Basie Awards ceremony: 

  • Outstanding Production of a Musical - Trinity Hall, “The Hello Girls”
  • Outstanding Direction of a Musical - Ellen Phillips, “The Hello Girls”
  • Amy Giinther Fredericks Award for Outstanding Musical Direction - Lauren Brancato And Mike Kabash, “The Hello Girls”
  • Evaluators Special Award - Kate Schweikert '26 (Kate was awarded this special Basie Award for her work choreographing the musical at a professional level as a student.)
  • Carole Malik Award for Outstanding Costume Design of a Musical - Maggie Havens '26 And Lucy Kennedy '25, “The Hello Girls”
  • Outstanding Supporting Performance in a Male Identified Role – Drama - Henry Griffith, “Little Women”

Three of our students were also recognized for Outstanding Student Leadership at the Basie Awards. Along with other local students, they were nominated by their teachers for going above and beyond to lead by example and pave the way for their productions:

  • Luciana D’Andrea ‘25
  • Gianna DiLascia ‘25
  • Ava Santamaria ‘26

The cast of “The Hello Girls” also had the opportunity to perform on stage at the Basie Awards as part of being nominated for Outstanding Production of a Musical. They performed their powerful opening number “Answer the Call” one last time to tell the story of the women who served in the army as telephone operators in WWI. Watch their performance here.
