TINTON FALLS, N.J. – August 24, 2025 – Trinity Hall, an independent all-girls college preparatory school in Tinton Falls, proudly celebrated the unveiling of its new and refreshed spaces on campus. On August 23, 2025, more than 400 members of the Trinity Hall community, including students, families, alumnae, faculty, trustees, local officials, architects, and construction partners, gathered for “Unveiling Excellence,” a blessing and celebration marking the completion of the school’s latest construction project. The event offered the community the first opportunity to tour the new academic wing, the expanded Commons and renovated spaces.
Since its establishment on the former Fort Monmouth military base, Trinity Hall’s campus has continually evolved. In 2015, Trinity Hall relocated to Tinton Falls, transforming a former child development center ahead of the 2016-2017 school year. In 2018, the school expanded with a two-story addition featuring classrooms, administrative offices, a chapel and a front lobby. This most recent project, which broke ground in July 2024, provides an additional 17,000 square feet to the campus footprint to support the school’s programs and community needs for the 2025-2026 school year and beyond, a vision made possible through the leadership of the construction committee, chaired by Trinity Hall co-founder and board member Mairead Clifford and board member Torrey Plank.
“The completion of this project represents a significant milestone in Trinity Hall’s history," said Head of School Theresa Kiernan. "The addition of these new and refreshed spaces will continue to elevate our academic offerings and student programming, and will strengthen our commitment to providing an environment that nurtures leadership, innovation, and excellence for every girl. We look forward to the many ways these spaces will support our mission and serve our community for years to come.”
The construction project features new STEM spaces, including the addition of a fabrication lab, the renovation of two classrooms into state-of-the-art labs, and the refreshing of an existing engineering lab. The new academic wing also houses an arts conservatory with a visual arts studio, a music classroom, and a spacious performing arts space, alongside new academic classrooms and a comprehensive counseling suite that provides dedicated space for school and college counselors. The Commons, Trinity Hall’s main gathering area, has more than doubled in size, creating additional room for community events and programming. Additional updates include a new faculty lounge, dedicated student study spaces, and many collaborative areas around the school, all designed to further elevate the academic and community experience of Trinity Hall’s students, faculty, and staff.
Victoria Gmelich, co-founder and board development chair, spoke at the event, and reflected on the growth of the school and the continued dedication to the mission. “What we as founders started out with in 2013 was a very strong mission to educate and empower girls in the Catholic tradition in a rigorous academic, STEM-focused education. What we found is that there is something that cannot be explained in what our students and our community exemplify when they are here at school,” she said. “I think the answer is that when girls are by themselves, in an environment where they feel safe, encouraged, protected and have a sense of community, they thrive.”
Students and faculty will return to campus in September to begin the 2025-2026 school year in the newly expanded and renovated spaces, marking a new chapter in Trinity Hall’s history and a continued commitment to educating and empowering girls to reach their full potential.
