Trinity Hall is a community centered around creativity, with many students pursuing artistic passions. Trinity Hall senior Reese Evans is no exception. Earlier this year, Evans was granted the opportunity to walk in two different New York Fashion runway shows.
An active member of Trinity Hall’s Queen’s Court Company, Evans is constantly on the lookout for new opportunities that will expand her acting career. When browsing through casting calls, she came across a modeling audition and decided to send in her headshot. Soon after, Evans received a request for an in-person, formal audition. Although she had no previous runway experience, she used to watch fashion tapes of models such as Gisele Bundchen and Shalom Harlow when she was a young girl. These tapes helped her to develop a signature walking technique.
Evans described the casting process as similar to how modeling auditions are depicted on television shows. She was numbered and placed into a large line with other ambitious models. After her audition, Evans received the exciting news that she had been selected for the OhSnapProductions’ feature about emerging fashion designers.
During this contract, Evans modeled for three different designers: Delgado, Visage du Monde, and Xu. She was brought in for a number of fittings, during which her runway outfits were altered and finalized. On the day of the exhibition, Evans was cheered on by her father and fellow Trinity Hall student, Maggie Havens ‘26.
After her first runway show was complete, Evans was given the opportunity to model for another organization. She graciously accepted and was placed amongst models in their early twenties, making her one of the youngest models present. Evans’ mother, who had previous experience in the fashion industry, stayed with Evans in order to help her feel comfortable.
Evans walked the runway of her second show on her 18th birthday while modeling clothes for HRM and Asato. She stated that she “couldn't have asked for a better way to start [her] 18th year!”
Congratulations, Reese! We look forward to hearing more about your future accomplishments!
