Trinity Hall Wins Soccer Game Against Rival Rumson-Fair Haven on Fan Day | Monarch Media

On October 3, members of the Trinity Hall community came together to cheer on and support the varsity girls soccer team in their game against rival team Rumson-Fair Haven (RFH). The hard work from the girls on the field, along with the energy from the community, led to an impressive Monarchs victory.

Trinity Hall took the lead early on with an exciting goal from Maris Child ‘26 within the first 10 minutes of the game. Team member Maeve Bradley ‘27 stated, “The energy the whole team had going into the game was so great and RFH has been the soccer team's biggest rival for years. I really think that the energy from the fans made the whole environment electric and helped us stay motivated to finally beat RFH.” The game ended in a 1-0 victory for the Monarchs, making Child’s early goal the only one scored by either team.

Bradley further shared, “The support I feel from my teammates and classmates in all aspects of my life is truly something I appreciate so much and the attendance from the fans to support our game represents the Trinity spirit.” The tight-knit bond between the players and the Trinity Hall community as a whole provides a support system in helping girls reach their full potential, both on and off the field.

Members of the community who came to support the team at the game had an amazing time seeing their classmates do something they love and work hard for. Attendee Savannah Greer ‘27 shared this sentiment when she reported, “It is such a special thing to see the girls we go to school with everyday do something they love and be able to be there to support and cheer them on. Watching some of my friends play made me so proud and I’m so glad that I was able to support them in that way!”

Another attendee, student Emma Beatty ‘27 elaborated, “The soccer Fan Day was incredible! It was so much fun to watch everybody dominate RFH. The reaction from the crowd when we scored was so energetic. I really think that the energy from the crowd has an impact on the girls playing and lifts their spirits. I was on the edge of my seat and loved getting to spend time with my friends in such a supportive way!”

Attending Fan Days is integral to the spirit of the Trinity Hall community. When the girls support one another, it helps to make everyone feel included and respected. The community is looking forward to more Fan Days throughout the winter and spring sport seasons.
