The Community Life Council Hosts Annual “Spooky Semi” | Monarch Media

The Community Life Council recently celebrated their “Spooky Semi-Formal,” an evening that many look forward to each year. On October 24, Trinity Hall students from all grades gathered in the Commons for a spectacular night on the dance floor!

This beloved tradition could not have been possible without the great dedication of the Community Life Council. Last year, the dance was open to freshmen and sophomores only, due to construction on campus. This year, the Community and Core Councils worked diligently with Ms. Sobieski [Dean for Student Life] and Mrs. Kiernan [Head of School] to allow the dance to cater to all four grades in the newly expanded Commons.

Community Life Council Chair, Maggie Havens ‘26, stated, “I love hearing the different perspectives of our representatives in different grades because it gives us so many ideas and incorporates everyone’s thoughts into the dance. I also knew how important it was to the juniors and seniors that they would be able to attend the dance, so we all worked really hard to make that happen. Seeing everyone on the dance floor together with all of our decorations throughout the Commons made me so happy, and I am thrilled that the night was a success!”

The underclasswomen also had a fantastic night at the dance. While some students brought a date and others attended with friends, everyone was dancing the entire night. Madison Dammann ‘28 stated, “I had so much fun and it was the best night. I loved sharing the dance floor with all four of the grades and spending time with friends for a wonderful night!”

The semi-formal is a lively event that aims to bring students together while fostering a tight-knit school environment that sets the tone for the rest of the school year. The reintroduction of the dance being offered to all four grades, as it had been in the past, made the night even more memorable. Events like these shape the experience of the students at Trinity Hall and help to maintain the close bond felt by students and faculty alike in the community. Students are looking forward to future Community Life events that are in store for the remainder of the school year!
