Thrills, Chills and School Spirit: Trinity Hall’s Halloween 2025 Celebration | Monarch Media

Halloween season is always fun at Trinity Hall. With multiple events throughout the week, students are always sure to take advantage of the activities presented. This year, the Monarchs were thrilled to showcase their creative and intricate costumes in five different categories: Best Group, Funniest, Best On-Theme, Scariest and Most Creative.

There were two group costume winners: “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off,” with juniors Kate S., Ace H., and Riley M., and “Ed Sheeran,” with freshmen Noelle J., Emily L., Lila J., and Delaney D. Emily L., dressed as Ed Sheeran, provided insight into her group's Halloween costume when she stated, “We had a fun time putting this costume together as a group. Halloween at Trinity is so much fun, and we enjoyed the fun spirit when everyone cheered for our costumes.”

Meanwhile, freshmen Maddy T. and Ryann R., who dressed as John Pork, were voted Funniest Costume. The Most Creative costume was awarded to Madison D. ‘29, who was dressed as Mal from Descendants.

Additionally, the faculty came up with some amazing costumes, but the most notable was the "Despicable Me" group costume. Athletic Director and the group's Gru Mr. Bagley gave his thoughts on the costume as he shared, “I give all credit for the idea of the costume to Ms. Giallanza. It was her idea, and she had the drive and vision to make it happen. I am just happy to be a part of it.”

Mrs. Retterer, Ms. Peters, Ms. Toole, and Ms. Zavorskas' Sleeping Beauty and the Fairy Godmothers took Best On-Theme costumes for the faculty, while Mr. Polivka was nominated for Best Individual Staff Costume with his incredibly realistic Beetlejuice costume.

The seniors deserve a special shoutout for putting together a creative and fun grade-wide costume. The entire grade dressed as zombies from Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” music video with Madison (MJ) P. ’26 dressed as Michael Jackson. The group collaborated to surprise the school with a grade-wide flash mob to Michael Jackson's song "Thriller." They were also voted Best Overall Costume for the costume contest.

Senior Class President Evie Magee exclaimed, “The seniors 1000% showed up this Halloween! Their enthusiasm is infectious. When we initially proposed the idea of a flash mob, over 90% of the grade was in support right off the bat. Kate Schweikert ’26 did not hesitate to choreograph our Thriller-inspired dance, and everyone was devoted to learning it. I love this grade so much—they make my job as president so much fun. They put themselves out there on every occasion and know how to have fun.”

Congratulations to all costume contest winners. Halloween was a truly memorable day at Trinity Hall, and students are already looking forward to next year’s celebrations!
