On Wednesday, November 6, Trinity Hall welcomed prospective students to visit the school. Girls, primarily 7th and 8th graders, heard from Mrs. Theresa Kiernan, the Head of School, as well as many other teachers, before venturing through the halls on a self guided tour of the school. This event gave them the opportunity to envision themselves in the building, not as visitors, but as students.
When the girls arrived, Trinity students lined the halls, welcoming them with cheers, smiles, and cowbells. Mrs. Lynn Retterer, Director of Admissions, applauds the students effort, noting: “From the cheers and energy in the hallways to the buzz in the Commons and the classrooms, it was such a wonderful evening.”
The prospective students interacted with current students and teachers, receiving a true experience of the Trinity Hall community. Each room displayed a different class offered at Trinity Hall, and projects from those classes were displayed for the visitors to view. Students and teachers inhabited every room, inviting the visitors in and giving an overview of the course. From building LED flowers in the new engineering space, participating in current sophomores’ chemistry labs, and viewing completed projects from Humanities classes, the prospective students went through a fully-fleshed sample of the Trinity Hall experience.
Emily Dragotti ‘27, who spent her night in the world languages room describing her experience as a three-year French student, stated, “I really loved getting to speak about a place I love so much and meeting the girls who are interested in joining our community.”
Trinity Hall is a special place that welcomes girls with open arms and builds on their potential. The community was seen coming together to spread its message with the families of prospective students and share a space where girls can learn, collaborate and make memories. The Open House is a highly anticipated event for students, teachers and visitors alike, and the night lived up to the expectations!
