Trinity Hall Spends the Morning with Our Grandparents | Monarch Media

On Friday, November 21, Trinity Hall welcomed grandparents of current Monarchs to join their granddaughters for a morning at Trinity Hall. The event began with a delicious breakfast that was graciously provided for guests to enjoy. The grandparents joined their granddaughters in the newly expanded Commons, where they were able to interact with other guests while enjoying their breakfast.

After a lovely address from Head of School Theresa Kiernan, the girls were set off to give their grandparents a tour of the new spaces. Trinity Hall opened two new wings, including new classrooms, a performing arts space, upperclasswomen study spaces, and an addition to the Commons this fall. Trinity Hall students were able to share with their grandparents their new classroom spaces and favorite spots. Maureen Cronin, grandmother of a current junior, remarked on how she especially enjoyed that they had her granddaughter take her around on a tour and “it was so meaningful to see how each room is important to [her granddaughter].”

Barbara Oldroyd, grandmother of Aoife Oldroyd ‘27, stated she was "delighted to be invited to have breakfast with my granddaughter for Grandparents Day.” She commented, “The tour of her school and the new addition allowed her to share a personal experience of Aoife’s daily academic life.” She also stated her favorite part of the morning was “seeing the special spaces my granddaughter seeks out just to chill” and thanked Trinity Hall for such a wonderful opportunity.

The girls were also thrilled to show their grandmothers around the space. Lauryn Smith ‘27 shared, “Grandparents Day was such a nice experience for not only myself but also my Grammy. My grandmother was overjoyed to see my school, spend time with me, and meet my friends' grandparents.” Hannah Pollak ‘27 also remarked on the wonderful morning she shared with her two grandmothers. Hannah reflected, “Grandparents Day was an amazing opportunity provided by Trinity Hall to show my grandmothers everything I love about my school and daily academic life.”

The opportunity the girls had to share a piece of student life with their grandparents was truly special and will be a cherished memory. Overall, the morning was a success with smiles found in every corner. The granddaughters and grandparents had an amazing morning together and the Trinity Hall community hopes to welcome the special guests back soon!
