On January 10, Trinity Hall’s swim team took home the title of Monmouth County Champions for the third year in a row. As the meet kicked off, an electric atmosphere vibrated across the pool deck, and with each point scored for Trinity Hall, the excitement amplified. Competing at Neptune Aquatic Center, the team hit a major season milestone, fueled by support from family members, swimmers, and the school community.
By the end of the meet, the Monarchs totaled 345.5 points to win first place, an astonishing 54 points ahead of second place. The team won the gold in three events, the silver in six, and the bronze in three. Senior Lauren Hanus took home the gold in the 200 IM, with a time of 2:10.25, Peyton Phelan ‘27 placed first in the 500 freestyle (5:15.11), and Erin Noble ‘27 took the third gold of the night in the 100 breaststroke (1:06.25).
Noble’s win in the 100 breaststroke was not her first gold of the season. Noble, a junior at Trinity Hall, has been a fundamental swimmer on the team for the entire year, winning multiple events and helping the team advance forward in meets. On December 23, at a vital meet versus Chatham, Noble placed first in the 100 yard breaststroke. Not only did she win the gold, but Noble also shattered Trinity Hall’s school record for the event with a final time of 1:06.04. She broke the record by over 1.8 seconds, a remarkable feat, especially in a sport where milliseconds determine first and second place.
Hannah Pollak, swim team manager, commented, “It was so amazing to watch her break the school record on her third swim of the day. Everyone was so excited for her!” Noble has continued her winning streak since Chatham and Monmouth Counties, just recently winning first place in the 100 breaststroke in a meet versus Westfield.
After their victory at Monmouth Counties, the Monarchs continued their three-year winning streak at Shore Conference. On February 7, at the Ocean County YMCA, located in Toms River, the Trinity Hall swim team dominated once again. The Trinity Hall community congratulates the varsity swim team on a record-breaking season.
