Trinity Hall is pleased to welcome Lindsey Curley, Hilary DiFeo, Chris Maher and Peggy Smyth as the newest members of the school’s Board of Trustees. Each brings a unique combination of professional expertise, personal connection to the school and a shared commitment to supporting Trinity Hall’s mission as well as future growth.
As members of the Board, Curley, DiFeo, Maher and Smyth will help guide Trinity Hall’s continued development while supporting the school’s commitment to providing young women with an exceptional all-girls education grounded in academic excellence, leadership, respect, perseverance and faith.
Lindsey Curley brings a valuable perspective to Trinity Hall’s Board of Trustees, as a graduate of an all-girls high school and former practicing attorney. Her own educational experience gave her a firsthand understanding of the value of an all-girls environment, making Trinity Hall’s mission particularly meaningful to her.
“The mission of Trinity Hall has inspired me since I first heard of the school,” Curley said. “I was thrilled to learn that the previously unmet need of an all-girls education was being addressed in our area, and that the opportunities I had as a young woman would be similarly available to local young women.” Curley hopes to contribute a forward-thinking and analytical perspective to the Board while supporting the school’s long-term plans to grow and expand its offerings, strengthen its alumnae network and increase Trinity Hall’s presence in the local community.
For Hilary DiFeo, joining the Board is an opportunity to give back to a school that has played an important role within her family. With three daughters who graduated from Trinity Hall as members of the Classes of 2023, 2024 and 2026, as well as three nieces who attended the school, DiFeo has experienced firsthand the impact of a Trinity Hall education.
“The all-girls schooling alongside the core values of leadership, respect, perseverance and faith are what I value most in education,” DiFeo shared. “It will be my mission to help other girls have the same opportunity that my daughters and nieces have had.”
Chris Maher was drawn to the Board by the impact Trinity Hall has had on young women, including his own daughter. Through his professional background and his family’s connection to the school, Maher has gained a firsthand appreciation for the opportunities and experiences Trinity Hall provides its students.
“I’ve been inspired by Trinity Hall’s impact on young women in our community,” Maher said, noting both the Trinity Hall students who have served as interns at his company and his daughter and her friends, who “treasure the opportunity to have been part of the Trinity Hall experience.” Having served on several nonprofit boards, Maher hopes to bring his governance experience to Trinity Hall and help advance the school’s mission for years to come. He is excited to help share Trinity Hall’s story with a broader network of supporters who can contribute to the school, the students and alumnae.
Peggy Smyth joins the Board after several years on Trinity Hall’s Finance Committee. With a career spanning the business and energy sectors, as well as experience serving on public and private company boards, Smyth brings valuable expertise in finance and strategy. Her connection to Trinity Hall is also rooted in her own educational experience. After receiving a full scholarship to Fordham University, Smyth saw firsthand how access to education can transform a young woman’s future. She hopes to help provide similar opportunities for the next generation of young women.
“I want Trinity Hall students to know there is no career, boardroom or leadership position where they don’t belong,” Smyth said. “Pull up a chair—and then make sure people hear what you have to say.” Smyth looks forward to supporting Trinity Hall’s continued growth in STEM and leadership, as well as efforts to make a Trinity Hall education accessible to students from all economic backgrounds.
For the four new trustees, Trinity Hall’s all-girls environment, commitment to academic excellence, leadership development and experiential learning are among the qualities that make the school not only so distinctive, but also a community where students are encouraged to learn, lead and grow. Curley, DiFeo, Maher and Smyth each look forward to contributing their experience and perspective as Trinity Hall continues to grow while remaining rooted in the values that define the school.
