Trinity Hall Selected As School Name

Dear Prospective Families and Supporters,

Under the working name, Monmouth Girls Academy, our project has gained much support and momentum. Now, as we strive to secure funding, select a site – and move closer to opening, we determined it was an appropriate time to establish a permanent identity for this new educational option for the young women of Monmouth County. Therefore, we are excited to announce that Trinity Hall has been selected as the official school name. “Trinity” will provide an immediate religious connotation which transcends a particular religion. As Catholics, Trinity has a very special meaning to us and we felt it is an appropriate name for this school given our vision. “Hall” was selected over School or Academy in order to celebrate the early days of college foundations – in Oxford and Cambridge – in the 1300’s. Because we strive to provide an innovative, dynamic and diverse college-preparatory school community – while also respecting tradition, we felt a unique and meaningful identity was pertinent.

Currently, the target opening date of September 2013 remains, though we acknowledge that Trinity Hall may need to open in a temporary location, while a permanent location is prepared. We intend to enroll a Freshman class only in 2013-2014, and a new class will be added each year until a full high school program is offered in 2016-17. Our objectives have not changed, we strive to: a) Establish an independent all-girls high school in the Catholic tradition, b) Provide the highest quality education, uniquely tailored to nurture the intellectual, spiritual, social and physical gifts of each individual, and c) Form a community of young women who will become leaders and living examples of the benefit of a faith and value-based learning environment.

We recognize that the “Founding Families” – students and their parents who will populate the first four class years of Trinity Hall – are essential to the success of this project. These enthusiastic and confident young women will have the opportunity to shape the culture, traditions and spirit of Trinity Hall – a leadership experience from the very beginning. And in doing so, they will receive an ideal combination of a transformative and fun learning environment, a welcoming and supportive school community, and a loving home and family life that will encourage them to imagine, invent, inspire and dream.

An opportunity to declare interest in admission for your daughter(s) will be announced in the coming months – without any obligations. However, “intent to enroll” numbers will be helpful for year one planning, and will keep us motivated to make this project an absolute success.

Please read below for more information. From this point forward, we will provide monthly updates to keep you informed – and excited!

Sincerely,
Trinity Hall’s Board of Trustees
