“Women in Leadership” Speaker Series: Ashley Higginson

On Thursday, September 18, 2014, Trinity Hall welcomed Ashley Higginson as the first “Women in Leadership” speaker of the 2014-2015 school year.

Ashley attended Colts Neck High School and went on to graduate from Princeton University, where she was a Division 1 runner. She is currently a professionally sponsored runner (Saucony) and trains with the NJ/NY Track Club. In her spare time, she attends law school at Rutgers University and is an Olympic hopeful for Summer 2016.

Following an inspirational talk with our students, Ashley kindly answered questions and wowed the girls with details of her personal best running times – there was an audible gasp with her 4:34 mile. The best take-away that our students received from this high-achieving woman was her outline for setting goals:

Goals should be:

S = specific

M = measurable

A = attainable

R = relevant

T = timebound

Thank you Ashley!
