Biography
Faina Tarasyuk joined Trinity Hall in 2014 from Fontbonne Hall Academy, a Catholic all-girls high school in Brooklyn, NY. She has been teaching chemistry, honors chemistry, AP Chemistry, physics and engineering since 1999, and was a chemistry adjunct professor at Long Island University for 13 years. Faina is fluent in Russian and Turkish.
Faina earned a B.S. in chemistry at Azerbaijan State University and an M.S. in chemistry at Long Island University, Brooklyn campus. She received her second Masters in education from Long Island University School of Education. She attended Polytechnic University Ph.D. program, where she successfully completed all required courses toward her doctoral research.
Faina is a passionate educator and is very excited to share her love of science with Trinity Hall’s girls. In addition to her academic classes, she advises the dance club, serve as a faculty advisor and leads Trinity Hall Dance company.
