Biography

Rupsa Banerjee joined Trinity Hall as an Engineering teacher, bringing a background in programming, data science, and artificial intelligence to the classroom. She believes engineering and technology are best learned through hands-on, project-based exploration, and designs her classroom to help students build problem-solving skills, logical thinking, and confidence tackling real-world challenges. She encourages students to experiment, build, and think like engineers, guiding them through projects that range from robotics and game development to AI applications and machine learning.

Before coming to Trinity Hall, Rupsa taught AI, coding, and robotics to K-12 students, and worked as an AI Consultant building real-time conversational AI systems with speech recognition and natural language processing. She also conducted machine learning research at the New Jersey Institute of Technology, studying brain connectivity patterns using deep learning models, and mentored graduate students in Python and AI. Rupsa earned her Master of Science in Data Science from the New Jersey Institute of Technology and her Bachelor of Engineering from Techno India College of Technology. Outside the classroom, she enjoys art, clay sculpting and painting.
