Biography

Erin is a founding faculty member at Trinity Hall, where she has had the privilege of developing innovative visual arts, leadership and design curricula that inspire students to engage deeply in the creative process and explore new ways of thinking. Under her guidance, the arts and design programs have continued to evolve and expand, with growing course offerings each year, including advanced-level and AP courses across the visual arts and design disciplines.

Erin is a lifelong learner, educator, and advocate for the transformative power of diverse perspectives. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Global Organizational Leadership, driven by her passion for understanding how young women can recognize their unique strengths and use them to create meaningful change in the world. As an educator, Erin embraces teaching critical thinking as a foundation for leadership, encouraging students to question assumptions, explore multiple perspectives, make meaningful connections and approach complex problems with curiosity and creativity. She believes that when young women understand and embrace their individual gifts, while also developing the confidence to think critically and challenge the status quo, they can become innovative thinkers, courageous leaders and powerful agents of change.

Erin co-led the development and launch of the HUMM Institute at Trinity Hall alongside her colleague, Kali Lambrou and in collaboration with students. The HUMM Institute is a service design initiative dedicated to cultivating agents of change through a human-centered design approach. Erin believes that art and design are deeply interconnected and play an essential role in developing a balanced, college-preparatory education. Through her teaching, Erin encourages students to view the world through an empathetic lens, recognize and champion one another’s strengths and understand how diverse perspectives can lead to more innovative and elevated outcomes. She strives to create a learning environment where collaboration, critical thinking, creativity and empathy come together to empower students to approach complex challenges with confidence, purpose and leadership.

Outside of the classroom, Erin loves traveling with her husband and three children, spending time with her pets, taking her red convertible out for a drive and tackling design challenges alongside her students.
