Biography

A returning founding faculty member, Katie was a humanities teacher at Trinity Hall from 2013 through 2016. During her two-year hiatus she tutored local high school students in various AP history courses before returning as a full-time history teacher in fall 2018. Katie previously taught at Mount Saint Mary Academy, a Catholic all-girls high school in Watchung, NJ, where she is an alumnae.

Katie earned a B.A. in history from Providence College where she was a four-year varsity swimmer for the Friars. She received her certificate of eligibility with advanced standing from the College of Education and Human Services at Seton Hall University. She has served as the Monarchs assistant swim coach since 2013, and also serves as the faculty advisor for the Political Science Club. She is a mom of three young children and has run two NYC marathons and several other half marathons. She loves all things athletic, competitive, and adventurous!
