Biography

Kali Lambrou took a leap of faith as a founding STEM teacher of Trinity Hall. A twenty-eight year veteran of STEM education, and as her peers from Columbia University describe her, Kali is a STEMinist who’s not afraid to take risks with a microcontroller. Kali has shattered the 10 ft glass ceiling, while of course wearing safety goggles, for young girls at international schools and is now getting out the big ladder to reach even higher heights for our girls. Kali is an avid participant in the 3D printing maker faire movement, bringing the maker spirit to the classroom, and is not averse to being tangled in spaghetti-like 3D printing filament most times.

Kali joined Trinity Hall from Dwight School, a premier NYC independent school located at Central Park West. Kali taught science, mathematics and design technology in Dwight’s International Baccalaureate (IB) Higher Level Design Program, spanning grades 7-12.  This year, Kali will be teaching Math and Engineering, advising the coding club, and creating programming as a co-founder of the Humm Institute, an entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Kali is a proud graduate of Bishop Kearney, an all-girls high school formerly in Brooklyn, NY. She then went on to earn a B.A. in computational engineering mathematics at Fordham University and an M.A. in mathematics and education at Fordham’s Graduate School of Education. She received her second master’s from Teachers College Columbia University in TESOL/applied linguistics with a focus in statistics. Kali is a proud parent of two alumnae (Class of 2020), and on the weekends you can find her in her art studio immersed in alcohol ink abstract painting.
