Barbara-Jean Brees » Biography

Biography

As part of Trinity Hall's STEM team, Barbara-Jean Brees teaches biology and AP Biology. She previously taught these courses at Kent Place School, an independent, all-girls school in Summit, NJ. She hopes to inspire a love for science in her students while challenging them to think critically, problem solve, design experiments and ask questions. In addition to her academic courses, Barbara-Jean serves as a student advisor and works with the Pre-Med Club.
 
Barbara-Jean earned her bachelor's degree in biology from Saint Joseph’s University. After a few years of working in a research and development lab, she started to teach high school biology. She earned her master's degree in educational technology from New Jersey City University. When she is not teaching, Barbara-Jean enjoys spending time with her two young daughters, reading, traveling and going to amusement parks.
