Biography

Alyssa is a founding faculty member of Trinity Hall, serving as the school's first English teacher, Dean for Academics and head swim coach. She served as Director of College Counseling from 2020-2023, relying on her 20 years of experience in academic advising, athletic recruiting and teaching writing skills to guide students and their parents through the college application process, helping each student find the college that is the best match for her. As Assistant Head of Student Programs and Services, she will continue her work in college counseling while also providing support and supervision to other areas impacting student life, including counseling, campus ministry, advisory programming, technology, global travel experiences, athletics, arts and other extracurricular activities.

Alyssa joined Trinity Hall after a decade of working at the Peddie School, a boarding high school in Hightstown, NJ, where she taught English courses at all grade levels, helped develop the school's freshman humanities course, coached swimming, served as an academic advisor and supervised a girls' dormitory.

A native Floridian, Alyssa earned a B.A. in American studies and pre-medicine at the University of Notre Dame and an M.A. in journalism at Indiana University. She was a four-year scholarship varsity swimmer for the Fighting Irish. Alyssa and her husband P.J. have two daughters, Mackayla and Alexa, who hope to someday be Monarchs.
